New Delhi: Monday was an important day for Indian politics. On this day, the central government took a major political step by passing a bill to remove article 370 and section 35A in the Rajya Sabha. It will have far-reaching consequences. The cricket world is also not bothered by this move. After the removal of Article 370 and Section 35A from Jammu and Kashmir, the special state has been broken into two pieces, one in Jammu and Kashmir, while the other is Ladakh. However, it has been decided to make both the states as the Union Territory.
This has also opened the door to the possibility of getting new players to the cricket world. If Ladakh is made a separate Union Territory, the BOARD of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) like Delhi and Chandigarh can form the Ladakh Cricket Association. If that happens, then in the next few years, even the Ranji team in Ladakh will see you play domestic matches.
Several states and union territories are already fighting for the recognition of the BCCI forming a state association. Despite decades of years of rule, many states and union territories have not yet been able to convince their state team to play in the Ranji Trophy. The Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association was recognized by the BCCI in 1970.
