Islamabad: Pakistan claimed on Friday that India did not allow its train to cross the border and bring about 200 Sikh passengers here for the Jor Mela festival. The Government of India has stopped the train coming from Pakistan from entering India. The External Affairs Ministry refused to allow Sikh pilgrims to enter the train, saying the proposal for train entry was not properly submitted.
"Pakistan had issued visas to about 200 Indian Sikhs to join the Jor Mela (Death anniversary of Guru Arjun Dev) and was scheduled to arrive here on Friday by a Pakistani train," Ewaiqi Trust Property Board (ETPB) spokesperson Aamir Hashmi said. But the Government of India refused to allow the Pakistani train to enter its border to bring the Sikh passengers here. '
