Hockey: India registers fourth consecutive victory by defeating world champion Belgium

New Delhi: The Indian men's hockey team is wreaking havoc on the opponents these days with their great performance. The team has beaten the world champions and registered its fourth consecutive win. The Indian team won the match 2–1. Amit Rohidas scored for India in the tenth and Simranjit Singh scored in the 52nd minute. The only goal for the host Belgium was scored by team captain Felix Donaire in the 33rd minute. Overall, the Indian team performed well against the world number two team in this match.

The Indian team defeated Spain 5–1 in their previous match. India started their offensive against Belgium and maintained dominance. The team also benefited from this and in the tenth minute, they got a penalty corner, which Rohidas did not make any mistake in converting the goal. Although Belgium intensified the attack on the Indian camp after this, neither did they get success in their plans due to the excellent defense of Indian goalkeeper PR Sreejesh. With this, India finished the game with a lead in the first quarter. India maintained the lead till the end and won.
