New Delhi: According to the information given by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), due to the effect of a western disturbance in the Himalayan region, there is a possibility of rain by April 17. The Himalayan region is likely to receive rains from April 14 to 17 and the adjoining plane region from April 15 to 17. With this, a strong wind can run at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour.
On April 15, the Meteorological Department has also said that storms will occur in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, and Himachal Pradesh. There is also a possibility of hail in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Muzaffarabad on 14 April. According to the Meteorological Department, here, the weather is expected to remain clear in Delhi, the capital of the country, today or on 12 April. At the same time, it is expected to be mildly cloudy from April 12 to April 15. The sky will be cloudy on April 16 and April 17, with thunderstorms likely to rain.
Meanwhile, in Delhi today (Sunday), the minimum temperature was recorded at 16 degree Celsius and the maximum temperature is estimated to reach around 38 degree Celsius. According to the Skymet Weather report, the temperature in Delhi always crossed 40 degrees in April, but in 2012 the maximum temperature was recorded at 38.7 degrees Celsius. With this pre-monsoon activity in Delhi-NCR, the mercury is expected to remain up to 30 degrees for a few days.
