In South Africa, a young couple of Indian origin has lost their lives due to electrocution. They got married two weeks ago. The bodies of Zaheer Sarang and Nabilah Khan were found in their bathroom on Sunday afternoon. They have been handed over to them on Monday. It is believed that the wife was first electrocuted when she touched the tap and then when the husband tried to save her, he too lost her life due to electrocution.

Police spokesman Captain Mavella Masondo confirmed the loss of lives but said that the appropriate cause of death will be known only after the post mortem report is received. The electricity authority in Johannesburg, City Power has also ordered immediate action in the case. Locals have blamed city power's alleged inefficiency in daily power cuts and maintaining infrastructure in the area.

City Power spokesperson Issak Mangena said, "The team has been investigating since Monday morning and anything concrete will be reported. It has been learnt that a neighbour said that many people in the area have complained of electrocution when they touched taps, but this is the first case of death".
