New Delhi: India's pharma company Zydus Cadila has launched the cheapest generic version of Gilead Sciences antiviral drug Remdesivir. According to the news agency Reuters, Zydus has priced it at Rs 2,800 ($ 37.44) per 100mg vial. During clinical trials in hospitals of many countries of the world, it was revealed that Remedesvir can reduce the duration of corona symptoms from 15 days to 11 days.

Due to this also the demand for Remedisvir has increased. However, experts have warned that this is not an effective treatment. But in the absence of any medicine, doctors are prescribing this medicine to patients of Corona in India. Due to this, its demand has increased in Delhi and other cities of India. Gilead Sciences, originally based in the US, originally designed Remedesivir to treat Ebola. Now it has allowed India's Cipla, Jubilant Life, Hetero Drugs and Mylon to manufacture this medicine in India.

Pharma company Zydus Cadila has started a human trial of its potential corona vaccine ZyCoV-D. The company has told in a regulatory information that in the first phase it will enroll 1000 people in different parts of the country for this. The company said that the ZyCoV-D adaptive phase I / II human clinical trial has started with the first human dose. Safety, tolerability (immunity) and immunogenicity (immunogenicity) of the vaccine will be studied in this multi-centric study.
