Corona has created a crisis situation all over the world. Meanwhile, weightlifter Pradeep Singh, who won a silver medal in the Commonwealth Games, has been found positive of the banned human growth hormone and this is the first case of this kind. The National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) has also temporarily banned Pradeep Singh for a year after being found to HGH positive.

NADA Director General Naveen Aggarwal said in his statement on Wednesday said that "NADA closely watched Pradeep and after receiving information last year, his blood samples were taken in which he failed the doping test banned him. This is not only the first case of HGH use (found in urine sample) by an Indian athlete, but it is also the first time that it has also been found in blood samples.

He has further explained that we had received information that some players are using HGH, so Pradeep Singh was among the players that we looked at (Target Testing). Singh's blood samples were taken outside the tournament in December last year for a camp in Patiala, and the result of the sample in March came HGH positive. But the agency waited for the B sample to be examined and then made their report public. Now it is being treated.
