In fact, the Indian Railways is giving 25 percent to 75 percent discount on railway fares to students, farmers, poor, patients, doctors, sportspersons, journalists, unemployed, government job preparers, the disabled, the elderly and others.

Apart from this, those traveling with patients and disabled people also get this discount on fares. This concession is given by the Railways in tickets ranging from General Ticket to Sleeper, AC First Class, AC Chair Car, and AC Second Class. Good news for Indians; petrol and diesel prices may come down

If a patient wants a fare concession, he or she will have to get a certificate from the doctor. It will have the signature of a doctor. By which the patient will get the fare discount. The maximum 75 percent discount is being provided by the Railways to the handicapped victims, mental patients, cancer patients, kidney patients traveling for kidney transplant operation/dialysis, cardiac patients traveling for heart surgery, etc.
