In the ongoing war against the epidemic like Coronavirus, Kapurthala Rail Coach Factory has prepared a 'Post COVID Coach', this coach has been specially designed. In addition to the hands-free facilities, copper-coated railings, and plasma air purifiers with titanium di-oxide coating been provided to the passengers traveling on the rail.

The 'Post COVID Coach' has many handsfree facilities, such as foot-operated water faucet and soap dispenser, foot-opening toilet gates, foot-operated flush valves, foot-opening doors. doorknob, foot-operated water tap and soap dispenser in the washbasin located outside the toilet and arm operated handle on the compartment door. That is, passengers will no longer have to use hands for any work.
