New Delhi: Indian Railways has given a big New Year gift to its passengers, which no one could have imagined. Now if you are traveling by rail and anything has been stolen from your house, then you will be compensated by the railway. With this, the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), an undertaking of the Indian Railways, has released the schedule for the second private train in the country.

However, you will get this benefit only if you travel by the Tejas train. Preparations to run the second private train Tejas Express between Ahmedabad to Mumbai Central have been completed. It is to be inaugurated on 17 January, while for the general public it will start on 19 January. This special facility is being provided to passengers in this train itself.

Under this facility, if you are traveling in a train and during this time there is a theft in your house, then you will get compensation of up to 1 lakh rupees. Another special thing about this is that you will not have to make any separate payment for the insurance of the goods in the house. IRCTC has tied up with Liberty General Insurance for insurance. The country's first private train is running between Lucknow to Delhi.
