New Delhi: Indian Railways has issued a large tender to install CCTV cameras in railway stations and trains. The tender can be awarded by the end of next month for installing 1 lakh CCTV cameras. According to the exclusive information received from sources, currently, 9 companies are in the race for this. These companies include BEL i.e. Bharat Electronics Limited, TCIL Telecommunication Consultant India Limited, ITI, and HFCL.

Apart from this, private companies like sterlite, M2M and matrix are also included. This entire project is about 14 crores and out of the total 9 companies, 4 will be selected for financial bids.
