Chandigarh: The way of operating rail services and trains in Punjab has been cleared. After November 23, train service will start in the state. After discussions between Punjab CM Amarinder Singh and the protesting farmers' organization, an agreement has been reached to vacate the railway track and start the rail service. In Punjab, the farmers' organizations have been agitating against the agriculture bill for almost a quarter to two months, due to which the rail services are closed in the state.

However, the Farmers Organization of Punjab has approved to restore the passenger train service for 15 days only. The protesting farmers said that if the demand for withdrawal of the agricultural bill is not considered, it will start the movement again. On Monday, after the farmers' organization agreed to vacate all the railway tracks in Punjab, the state's Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh requested the Central Government to restore the rail services in the state.

The Ministry of Railways tweeted and informed that the train services in Punjab will be restored soon. After getting the approval of the train operation, the railway has started preparing. Railways said that necessary maintenance and checking work will be done before starting the train service in Punjab. It is important to note that farmers have been agitating against the agricultural law in Punjab for almost a quarter to two months. Due to the farmer movement, rail traffic in the state is badly affected. The trains were unable to operate due to the agitation of the agitators, colliding at many places including railway premises, platforms and railway tracks.
