The situation in Ukraine's capital Kyiv is deteriorating. Meanwhile, strict advisories have been issued to Indian nationals stranded there. Russia's 40-mile (64 km) long convoy is heading towards Kyiv. It is the longest military convoy sent to Ukraine since the Russian invasion. Russian convoys sent before this had been up to 3 miles in size.
There were about 20,000 Indians present in Ukraine, most of whom went there to study medication. Of these, more than 4,000 people have returned to India, the rest are being evacuated. The Modi government has launched Operation Ganga for this. The eighth flight of Operation Ganga left Budapest (Hungary) for Delhi on Tuesday.
