India's Cumulative testing cross 15 crore, Covid 19

In the battle against global pandemic, Indian sub-continent has crossed yet another landmark. the cumulative testing has crossed 15 Cr. So far India has made 15,07,59,726 tests which includes 9,22,959 samples being tested in the last 24 hours. The last one crore tests were made in just 10 days. Comprehensive and widespread testing on a sustained basis has resulted in bringing down the positivity rate. 

With increased testing and strict adherence to the Covid 19 management protocol, India has reported another significant achievement less than 40,000 new daily cases for eleven continuous days. In the last 24 hours, only 31,521 persons were found to be COVID positive in the country. In the same time period, the country has reported 37,725 new recoveries taking the present active caseload to 3,72,293 constituting just 3.81% of India’s Total Positive Cases.

The total recovery surpassed 92.5 lakh, 9253306 cases were recovered, made recovery rate to 94.7%. The gap between Recovered cases and Active cases is steadily increasing and presently stands at 8,881,013. Of the recovery, 77.3% is contributed by ten states/UTs, Maharashtra highest with 5,051 recoveries followed by 4,647 and 4,177 recoveries respectively.
