New Delhi: India has termed Pakistan's faults as "lies" which it said was supported by the Indian intelligence agency in last month's bomb attack on a bus in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. India said it is an attempt to divert the attention of the international community from Pakistan's character of being the "center" of regional instability and a "haven" for banned terrorists.
It may be recalled that on 14th July, 13 persons died in an explosion in a bus carrying Chinese engineers and labourers at the site of the Dasu dam under construction. Then, Pakistan ordered an inquiry into the matter. Nine Chinese engineers and four others have died. Reacting sharply to the Pakistani Foreign Minister's allegations in the case, External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said that this is another attempt by Pakistan to tarnish India's image so as to share the attention of the international community with its character in being the "center" of regional instability and the "refuge" of banned terrorists.
It may be recalled that at a press conference in Islamabad on Thursday (August 12), Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi had alleged that India's Research and Analysis Wing (Ra) and The National Directorate General of Security of Afghanistan were behind it, referring to the completion of the investigation into the attack.
