Washington: Prime Minister of the World's largest democracy Narendra Modi has surpassed the veteran leaders of 22 countries in terms of popularity. In the latest survey, PM Modi has received an approval rating of 78 percent in the adult population. After PM Modi, Mexican President Lopez Obrador made it to the second position. He has been chosen by 68 percent of adults. Swiss President Alain Berset is third on the same list, he has received a 62 percent approval rating. It has been said in the survey that after September 2021, PM Modi's popularity has been steadily increasing.

According to US-based global survey company Morning Consult, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has been ranked fourth with a 58 percent rating and Brazilian President Lula da Silva is fifth with a 50 percent rating. Thus, the names of superpower US President Joe Biden, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, and French President Emmanuel Macron are not on the list of top 5 leaders. Amid Trump's tough challenge, Biden has received only a 40 percent approval rating. Biden is ranked 7th on the list of popular leaders.

At the same time, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has been ranked 9th. He has received a 40 percent approval rating. Rishi Sunak has got a rating of 30 percent, which is a big setback for him before the elections. Norwegian leader Jonas Gahr Støre is at the bottom of the list of most popular leaders i.e. 22nd. He has to be satisfied with a 21 percent rating. According to the survey, PM Modi's popularity has been steadily increasing since September 2021. In May 2021, PM Modi's popularity reached 63 percent. After this, the number of his fans is constantly increasing.
