New Delhi: In the era of Corona epidemic, the country's leading airline company IndiGo has started a special offer for passengers. Under this, a person can book a double seat. This means that if you do not want anyone to sit aside you, then you will have to pay extra charges for it. Through this, you can ensure additional protection from coronavirus infection.

The airline company said in a statement that, "The fee for the additional seats will be up to 25 percent of the original booking cost." This service is being implemented on 24 July 2020. "Indigo said that the '6E Double Seat' scheme will not be available through the travel portal, Indigo call centre or airport counters." The benefit of this scheme can be availed only by booking tickets from the Indigo website. IndiGo conducted an online survey of 25,000 passengers between June 20 and June 28, in which passengers had described the lack of social distancing as a major concern.

IndiGo's Chief Strategy and Income Officer Sanjay Kumar said on Friday that, "Air travel is the safest method at the moment, we understand the emotional need of customers' safety." Suggestions were being received and we are happy to offer to book two seats for a traveller to ensure extra security. ''
