IndiGo has teamed up with Spotify to launch 6E Shuffle, a unique feature that offers travelers exclusive playlists tailored to their personal preferences and journey details. Customers who book and travel directly with IndiGo will also receive four months of free access to Spotify Premium as part of this exciting collaboration.
With this partnership, travelers can enjoy customized playlists designed to match their destination, mood, and favorite music genres. To access these playlists, users simply need to download the Spotify app. The app will also suggest travel destinations based on the user’s musical tastes, with more information about these locations available on IndiGo’s website.
Spotify’s data reveals that travel-related music searches in India exceed 2.2 million per month, with most searches coming from Gen Z listeners aged 18 to 24. Notably, the peak time for these searches occurs between 3-4 p.m., and interest in travel-related music saw a significant surge on April 20 this year.
As part of this collaboration, IndiGo and Spotify will release a promotional video featuring artist Armaan Malik, inviting travelers to “tune in and take off” with music that complements every journey. The campaign highlights the variety of playlists available for any destination or mood.
"We are excited to announce our partnership with Spotify, providing our customers with a unique travel experience that includes a complimentary four-month subscription and personalized playlists. Travel and music go hand in hand, and this collaboration underscores our commitment to meeting our customers' evolving needs and creating memorable journeys," said Neetan Chopra, Chief Digital and Information Officer of IndiGo.
Neha Ahuja, Director of Marketing for Spotify India, emphasized that music is an essential part of travel, whether for work or leisure. She described the partnership with IndiGo as "relevant," allowing Spotify to connect with both existing and new users.
