New Delhi: A strange act of Indigo Airlines has come to light. In an Indigo flight, a passenger had to go to Patna, the capital of Bihar, and he boarded a flight to Udaipur and reached 1400 km from his destination. The surprising thing is that the employees of the airlines did not even know that the passenger had boarded the wrong flight. As soon as the matter was reported, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) issued orders to investigate the incident.
In a statement issued by Indigo on Friday, it was said that we have received information about the incident. We are talking to the authority in this matter. Along with this, the airline company has also expressed regret for the problem faced by the passenger. The incident is being told on January 30, Monday. Later, the airline company arranged for the passenger to reach Patna the next day. A DGCA official said that a passenger named Afsar Hussain had booked a ticket for Patna on Indigo flight number 6E-214 and reached Delhi airport on January 30. However, by mistake, he boarded flight 6E-319 to Udaipur.
When the flight landed in Udaipur, the passenger realized his mistake. After that, he informed the officials of Udaipur airport. The airline company sent him to Delhi the same day and then boarded a flight to Patna the next day. At the same time, in this matter, the DGCA official has informed that we are waiting for the report on this matter and after that will take action against the airline company. The DGCA will investigate these questions as to how the passenger reached the wrong flight when the boarding pass is checked at two places before boarding the flight.
