Administration has been making every effort to deal with the coronavirus. The Health Department has made a large-scale plan to deal with it. In this, a new hospital of 700 beds and 140 ICU beds is being told. Also, Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College is also in need of a microbiology lab with a capacity to test 1000 samples every day. Such proposal prepared by MGM Medical College has been submitted to the Central Government of India and the State Government.

If seen, the lab of MGM Medical College currently has the capacity to test 400 samples. This includes cold room, RNA extractor, deep freezer, and other equipment in the form of machines and equipment to increase the capacity of the lab. Also, manpower may be required. This includes scientists, doctors, technicians, lab assistants. Currently, there are three scientists in the lab. Their number has to be doubled.

For your information, let us tell you that in view of the infection of covid-19 virus, the district administration has also made a comprehensive plan for the future. Collector Manish Singh said that we are going to arrange 600 ICU beds. Half of it will be ventilator beds. We currently have 309 ICU beds. Apart from this, about 550 normal oxygenated beds will be arranged. We will be able to make this arrangement at Kovid care setrs. We have 800 beds of oxygen support at MY Hospital. Apart from this, seeing the need of many more facilities, we are sending proposals to the government.
