The controversy over the Ranveer Singh Nude photoshoot is sparking day by day. While several people from Bollywood and his fans are supporting the actor, various others are claiming it is against moral values. A video from the recent incident from Indore is going rounds on the internet as the residents of Indore are donating Ranveer Singh Clothes.
A non-governmental organization (NGO) in Madhya Pradesh's Indore organized a clothing drive to "donate" clothes for actor Ranveer Singh whose nude photoshoot for a magazine sparked outrage. The locals are donating clothing into a box that has nude images of the actor from the photoshoot. They are gathered at a location where the NGO named "Neki Ki Deewar" held a cloth donation drive. Neki ki Deewar is a place where people donate clothes and food for those who can’t afford them. According to the locals, people in the country follow Ranveer Singh, however, they "do not want the youth to follow what he has done".
On Tuesday a police complaint has been filed against Ranveer Singh over Hurting the modest of women, police in Chembur registered a case against Ranveer under section 292 (dealing with obscene materials falls within this exception thereby addressing the issue of public decency and morality), 293 (obscene objects to young person) and 509 (Word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) including 67 (A) of the Information Technology Act.
While Ranveer in an earlier interview said, It’s so easy for me to be physically naked, but in some of my performances, I’ve been damn naked. You can see my soul. How naked is that? That’s being actually naked. I can be naked in front of a thousand people, I don’t give a shit. It’s just that they get uncomfortable."
