Chief Minister of Punjab, Captain Amarinder Singh, has assured the industrialists to support the state government in opening hundred percent of industries in the next few days. He expressed confidence that the industries leaving China will show confidence in setting up units in Punjab. He said that Punjab will succeed in attracting these industrialists.
His government is already in touch with many countries regarding setting up industrial units and investment in the state. Captain Amarinder Singh was talking to industrial giants on Friday through video conferencing on the subject 'Action plan for restoration of Punjab's economy after Covid lockdown'. Chief Minister said that after the lockdown of Covid 19, the suggestions of industrialists are being taken for the restoration of the economy of the state. Mentioned his continuous efforts to restore the business. He thanked the industrialists for resuming industrial activities despite the difficulties of the epidemic.
He said that 78 percent of industrial activities have been restored in the state and 68 percent of the migrant labourers have decided to stop here. He ordered the Industry Department to make the business easier and expedite the process of necessary clearances so that the industry can be brought back on track amid the restrictions of lockdown. Industry Minister Sundar Sham Arora told that a large number of workers have decided to stay in Punjab. Due to the opening of a large number of industries, many more workers want to come back. He informed that the state government has recommended to the central government for the purpose of arranging trains to bring migrant labourers from other states.
