Mumbai: The global pandemic corona is causing havoc in Maharashtra. In the last 24 hours in Maharashtra, 114 policemen have been found to be coronavirus positive, while one policeman has died of the disease. The total number of coronavirus infected policemen in the state has increased to 2,325. 26 policemen died due to Coronavirus. So far, 62,228 people have been found to be coronavirus positive in the state while 2,098 people have lost their lives due to the disease.

According to the Maharashtra Police, the maximum number of policemen who lost their lives due to Coronavirus infection are 16 from Mumbai, 3 from Nashik Rural, 2 from Pune and one each from Solapur City, Solapur Rural, Thane and Mumbai ATS. The officer said that out of these 249 are police officers and 1,962 constabulary rank personnel. He said that all these are being treated in various hospitals. 116 police personnel were found corona infected a day earlier.

2,682 new cases of the corona were registered in Maharashtra on Friday and 116 people died due to coronavirus infection. But the good news among all of them was that 8,381 people in a day cured from infection after treatment. The health officer had said that so far 62,228 people have been infected with the coronavirus in the state while 2,098 people have died due to this disease. He told that a total of 26,998 people have become infection-free after treatment in the state so far.
