Islamabad: Inflation in Pakistan has broken all records and the country's voice has spoken out. People are upset with the rise in daily food prices and are taking to the streets against the Imran government. Prices of lentils have crossed 200 kg, while prices of a dozen eggs have crossed Rs 150. Not only this, the prices of Chinese flour and vegetables are also touching the sky. High inflation has made it difficult for people to live.
Talking about food products, flour is being sold from 80 to 100 rupees per kg. The price of moong dal has reached Rs 260 per kg. Chana dal Rs. 160 and masoor dal are selling at Rs 150 per kg. Milk prices have reached Rs. 150/litre. While sugar is selling at the rate of Rs 105 a kg. An egg is being sold for 15 rupees.
All opposition parties have opened a front against the Imran government. On Friday, a huge procession of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), a coalition of 11 opposition parties, was held at Gujranwala Stadium, about 80 km from Lahore, in which lakhs of people attended. Nawaz Sharif addressed the event on Friday via video link from London. The anger of the people who came to this event sparked against the government of Imran.
