On the occasion of Navaratri various famous persons and celebrities are wishing people on Navaratri. US President Donald Trump's Democratic rival Joe Biden and his running mate Kamala Harris have wished Hindu Americans on the occasion of the nine-day Navratri festival. The celebrations starts with navaratri and ends with Dusshera and Diwali. Kamala Harris the first ever Indian origin person to contest through a major party ticket and the Indian Americans naturally leaning towards Democratic party gives positve feel about Hindu Americans contributing major vote bank for them.

The results from a new survey of Indian Americans gives strong evidence that contradicts an emerging narrative that these voters are shifting their support from the Democratic Party to the Republican Party. 72% of registered Indian American voters plan to vote for Democratic candidate Joe Biden in the presidential elections while 22% plan to vote for the incumbent president. A sample of 936 Indians were surveyed.
