New Delhi: The Twitter account of the Information and Broadcasting Ministry was hacked this Wednesday morning. The hackers had renamed it as Eߋߊn ᛖʋsƙ and put a picture of the fish on the profile photo. At the same time, a number of tweets have been made in the recent past. After some time the account was restored and those tweets were also deleted.

These hackers could be the ones who hacked PM Modi's Twitter account in the past. Because they are scrutinising exactly the same content that was then seen. Earlier, the Twitter account of ICWA, IMA, etc. was also hacked.

According to information received from the same sources, either the password has been shared or a link related to hacking has been clicked. This may have been done by someone handling that account. Later CERT means the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team restored the account. The recovery of the account was reported from the IT ministry's account. The Twitter accounts of many veteran leaders have been hacked before. Recently PM Modi's Twitter account was also hacked.
