In the month of August, Instagram adds a new feature in the app named “stories”. These stories features help you to add several shots to form a video clip or you can also add video clips to make a single one.

You can share these videos with friends and followers as well. Everyone is comparing this feature of Instagram with its rival company snaps chat. Snapchat also has the same feature named as “Story”. In order to make it big, Instagram brought its stories feature to its “explore” tab. The company did this in October month. Now Instagram also introduce the two new features into an app to make Stories feature more functional.

These two new updates are available on both App Store or Google play store. These new features are “Boomerang” and “Mentions”, which are initially meant for Series. As the name suggested of the First feature “Boomerang”, it makes short video clip which plays forward and backwards. You can reach this feature from the Screen’s bottom after opening the stories camera. And again as the name suggested “Mention”, it allows the story maker to tag the people inside his stories. You just need to type “@” after this type user’s name, same as captions and comments. If someone taps that name that person’s profile will open. Company tells about these new features in its release notes.

Further, the company's CEO Kevin Systrom has confirmed to the Financial Times that it is working on bringing Live Video feature to the app. Live is really exciting for us. I think it can enhance what we're doing. If I'm trying to strengthen relationships with someone I love, them streaming video to me live would be an amazing way to be closer to them," Systrom was quoted as saying.
