Meta's photo and video sharing app Instagram has been completely down on Sunday. Thousands of users around the world were unable to use Insta. According to the outage tracking website Downdetector.com, Instagram's services have come to a standstill on Sunday night. More than 1 lakh 80 thousand users have also reported about this.  

The news says that if users are to be believed, they were having trouble using the app. Users are also engaged in complaining about it on social media. Its biggest impact has been on American users. Downdetector.com says that more than one lakh users in America have complained about it. At the same time, 56 thousand users in Britain and 24 thousand users in Canada have reported this problem. 

Insta was down for users from around 1745 ET (2145 GMT) on Sunday. This problem has been reported by more than 1 lakh 80 thousand users. A Meta spokesperson has said that we are working to get things back to normal as soon as possible and we apologize for any inconvenience caused. However, the company responded to the mail without disclosing more details on the outage. 

Instagram was down even before this: Earlier on the morning of May 18, many users have reported the problem of Instagram being down. Although it was not down in India. 34 per cent users had issue with login connection. Insta down was completely done in January before May.
