Jaipur: The Ashok Gehlot-led Congress government in Rajasthan has come under controversy for showing controversial facts related to Maharani Padmini of Chittorgarh in Ra Jasthan. Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat has warned the Congress government in the state terming it as an injury to the self-respect of Hindus. Shekhawat said that Maharani Padmini is the aan, ban and shaan of Rajasthan and tilak of the greatness of Marudhara. In fact, the Gehlot government had organized a 3D light and sound show at the historic Chittorgarh Fort at a cost of Rs 5 crore, which was launched virtually by Union Minister Arjun Lal Meghwal and CM Ashok Gehlot on Monday (December 27).

Chittorgarh MP Chandraprakash Joshi (CP Joshi) then objected and stopped it. A meeting of the Kshatriya community has also been held on this issue. Union Minister Shekhawat tweeted, "The jewel of revered Rani Padmavati is the tilak of the greatness of Marudhara on our foreheads. We believe in them like a godlike mother. Playing with their purity is a defiance of our motherland. Congress was ready to face the consequences. Shekhawat further wrote, "The light and sound show in Chittorgarh shows the fiction associated with Aan, Ban and Shan Pujya Rani Padmavati ji of Rajasthan as a historical story is a blow to public self-respect. It is well known what revered Rani Padmavati ji means to the identity of Rajasthan. This depiction was deliberately done with the intention of appeasement. With the intention of telling the truth to the fiction. '

In the next tweet, Shekhawat wrote, "Attacking Rajputi Mann through revered Rani Padmavati ji is part of this conspiracy. Congress wants to inculcate inferiority complex among Hindus as it feels threatened by the solidarity of Hindus. After the Congress rule, the Hindu community in Rajasthan is constantly being treated secondary. Lectures are being fabricated distinguishing between Hinduism and Hindutva. Efforts are being made to divide them. He warned the Gehlot government that the matter will not be allowed to be settled in the same way. He wrote, "The Congress must have thought of a way out of the episode because it has made its move on the pretext of a light and sound show. He now has to shift his attention from the original subject and create a new propaganda. The Rajput community has also protested against the objectionable facts of the show.

In fact, the light show was organized by the Tourism Department of Rajasthan at Kumbha Mahal in Durg for tourists visiting Chittorgarh Fort related to the history of Rajputana. However, in the 16th minute of the 45-minute show, local MP CP Joshi closed it and asked for the disputed portion to be removed and run. It mentions the sight of Queen Padmini in the mirror by Alauddin Khilji. There has been a controversy in the past. Deepika and Ranveer Singh's padmaavat has also been disputed over the same issue. The name of the film was later changed from Padmavati to Padmaavat.
