Life insurance is a must for everyone. There are millions of agents in India who sell life insurance. Most of them tell you about insurance policies and policies suitable for lifestyle, while there are many who try to sell insurance by giving false information. Therefore, every person who takes insurance should know whether insurance is suitable for him or not, or is the insurance he is being told about, is given the same or something different. Today we are going to tell you about how you can avoid taking the wrong insurance.

FD gives better returns
Agents state that insurance gives better returns than FDs. However, it is not true. The first job of a life insurance policy is to give you protection in case of untimely death so that the surviving family members get the sum assured from the insurer. It is also called 'sum assured' security benefit. Apart from the security benefits, there are other benefits in life insurance. Comparing insurance to FD will not be good. You should beware of this, keep an eye on such promises of the agent. Suppose you are told that 'you will be paid X-Pay premium', but the total period of premium payment for such payment is not mentioned. Life insurance policies are generally long term (over 5 years and often for 10-20 years).

Confuse premium
Agents do not negotiate with the policy taker about 'cost' and 'duties' for maximum benefit. The insurer is responsible for honoring its side of the promises made in the product and the customer has to pay his premium accurately, on time and for the entire duration of the policy. If the tenure is not completed, there may be charges or deductions that will affect the insurer. Therefore the customer should be prepared only for the premium amount that is easily given.

False information about the claim
This is related to health and accident insurance policies. While taking life insurance, the agent asks to clarify under which circumstances the claim is not payable. For example, if the customer smokes and describes himself as a non-smoker as applied, the insurance company may refuse to give the death claim to the family upon his death.
