Bhubaneswar: The Intelligence Bureau (IB) office at Bhubaneswar, the capital of Odisha, has been sealed by the Municipal Corporation. Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has sealed the office, asking all its employees to remain in isolation in the house. Giving information in this regard, an official said that the decision has been taken after an employee of the central agency came in contact with a patient infected with the coronavirus.

The municipal authorities have pasted a notice on the wall of the IB office located on RN Singhdev Marg in the city. The BMC official said that the IB office has been sealed for a period of 14 days from April 6 to April 19, 2020, and no one will be allowed to visit the premises. Sources said that one of the employees of the IB office had come in contact with a person infected with the coronavirus in Surya Nagar area in the state capital.

Surya Nagar area has been declared as a restricted area after eight cases of coronavirus have been registered from the area. The official said that the civic body has made elaborate arrangements to make RN Singhdev Marg including IB Colony free of infection. BMC Commissioner Prem Chand Chaudhary said that all the employees have been kept separately in the house.
