- Anand Bakshi, a great lyricist of Hindi cinema, wanted to contribute as a singer in films. However, due to fear of making fun by people, he emerged as a songwriter in front of this world.

- Anand had fled to Mumbai at the young age of just 14 to give his dreams a flight.

- Anand, who makes everyone laugh on his written songs, has also worked in the Indian Navy and the Indian Army. He worked for two years as a cadet in the Royal Indian Navy. Due to some dispute, he lost his job. Thereafter, he continued to work in the Indian Army from 1947–1956.

- He once again turned to Mumbai to realize his dream. This time in Mumbai, he met the famous actor Bhagwan Dada. During this time, Bhagwan Dada asked Anand to work as a lyricist in his film 'Bhala Aadmi'. The film career of Anand Bakshi, a great lyricist in the Hindi cinema, began with this film.

- After struggling for 7 years as a lyricist, he got recognition from the film 'Jab Jab Phool Khile' in 1965. He wrote songs like, 'Padesiyon Se Na Dil Lagana', 'Ye Sama.. Sama Hai Ye yar Ka', 'Ek Tha Gul Aur Ek Thi Bulbul'. He established himself as a lyricist in Bollywood. In 1965, he wrote another song 'Chand si Mehbooba Ho Meri Kab Aisa Maine Socha Tha' also managed to spread his magic by climbing people's heads.

- From the evergreen songs like 'Sawan Ka Mahina Pawan Kare Shor', 'Yug Yug Tak Hum Geet Milan Ke Gaate Rahenge', released in 1967 after two years of Sunil Dutt and Nutan's film 'Milan' His career reached its peak.

- Anand Bakshi was also instrumental in making the career of Rajesh Khanna, the first superstar of Hindi cinema successful. The song 'Mere Sapno Ki Rani Kab Aayegi Tu' written in Rajesh Khanna's film Aradhana. Rajesh had got the title of a big star, while in the career of legendary singer Kishore Kumar, a golden opportunity came from this song. After the immense success of Rajesh's film Aradhana, RD Burman had become a favorite composer of Anand Bakshi.
