Ahmedabad: On the occasion of Makar Sankranti in Gujarat, especially people fly kites from the roof of their houses, but before this January 14 kite flying, an international kite festival will be organized in different cities of Gujarat from January 8 to 14. After a gap of two years due to the coronavirus pandemic, the International Kite Festival has been organized once again in Ahmedabad and other cities of Gujarat. Whose themes have been kept on the basis of the G20. All the countries of G20 will also participate in this kite festival.
Kites of the G20 theme 'One Earth, One Family, One Future' will also be seen in this kite festival. Along with kite fliers from G20 countries, political representatives will also participate in the event. Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat and CM Bhupendra Patel will inaugurate the International Kite Festival on the Sabarmati Riverfront in Ahmedabad on the morning of January 8. During this, people flying kites in the International Kite Festival will also participate in the parade wearing G20 printed T-shirts and caps.
G20-themed kites will also be seen flying in the skies of Gujarat this year, along with special selfie booths. In which people will be able to take selfies with the theme of G20, 'One Earth, One Family, One Future.' Some special people will also be present here for training in making and flying kites. The theme stage of the rich history of kites is being decorated in the kite festival.
