Raipur: The Ram temple issue is once again gaining momentum ahead of assembly elections in many states and the Lok Sabha elections in 2024. In Tripura, the political temperature is rising after the statement of Home Minister Amit Shah. After Mallikarjun Kharge, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has taken the lead. Bhupesh Baghel attacked Amit Shah and BJP and said that the Ram temple is being built by the order of the Supreme Court, BJP has no contribution to it nor does BJP have any role in it.

Referring to the construction of the Ram Vangaman Path in Chhattisgarh, Bhupesh Baghel said that the court has not given any order to us (the Congress government). We are voluntarily demolishing it and installing a 35 feet tall statue of Lord Shri Ram in the Shivrinarayan complex. BJP only pretends and acts. Bhupesh Baghel launched a political attack on the BJP and said that they do this only for votes but we are doing it for faith and faith.

Lashing out at the BJP, Bhupesh Baghel said, "I have a list of churches built during the BJP rule. Churches were built when conversions took place. BJP has expertise in conversions and communalism, but their conspiracies won't be successful." Targeting Congress and Rahul Gandhi, Amit Shah said in a public meeting held in Tripura on January 5, "Rahul Baba! The construction of the Ram temple will be completed by January 1, 2024. The BJP has fulfilled the promise made to the people and the Ram temple has been constructed."
