Raipur: Hisha Baghel of the Durg district of Chhattisgarh has become the first woman Agniveer of the state. She has been selected for the Navy. Hisha is currently undergoing training for Senior Secondary Recruits from the Indian Navy at Chilka, Odisha. This training of her will continue till March, after which she will be deployed for the security of the country.

The great thing is that Hisha has prepared herself to become Agniveer. For this, she was making herself strong through daily running and yoga since her school days. On Hisha's success, her mother said, ''I am very proud. She is very hardworking and used to wake up at 4 in the morning for training. We have sold our land and car and used that money for the education of the children and for the treatment of my husband who is suffering from cancer. Hisha's mother said that father Santosh Baghel has left no stone unturned regarding the education of the children.''

She told that Hisha's father is battling cancer. In such a situation, he has sold his auto and even his land to feed the family and educate his daughter. Hisha also taught coaching to the children to help with the family's expenses. At the same time, after Hisha Baghel was selected in the Agnipath scheme, her school teacher said, 'I am very happy that a student of our school has been selected as the first female Agniveer. She was a very bright student. She was also good at sports. Despite the poor economic condition of the family, she has the ability to succeed.'

Hisha is a resident of Bori Garka, a small village in Durg. While studying in college, Hisha decided to join NCC. Agniveer's form came out during NCC training itself and Hisha also filled the form. Soon she was also selected. Hisha Baghel practiced running with the youth in the village to prepare for Agniveer. She was the first and only girl in the village to do so.
