New Delhi: The Indian economy has overtaken Britain to become the fifth rank in the world. According to the International Monetary Fund (IMF), based on the current growth rate, India will overtake Germany in 2027 and Japan in 2029 to become the world's third-largest economy. According to the research report of the State Bank of India (SBI), the growth rate in the first quarter of this year has been 13.5 per cent. At this rate, India is expected to be the fastest-growing economy this financial year. Former Chief Economic Advisor Dr Arvind Virmani says that the journey of the Indian economy will continue and India will become the third-largest economy in the world in the coming few years.

Let us tell you that these days the economies of the big countries of the economically developed world are clouded by the crisis due to the Russia-Ukraine war, and the increase in inflation. These countries are also facing the danger of recession, but even at such a time, India is being told as the shining star of the whole world. On one hand, the IMF has reduced the growth rate projection of many countries of the world, but it believes that the Indian economy will grow at the rate of 6.8 per cent in the current financial year despite all these challenges. America is much more than countries like China.

India is currently growing very fast and will become the third-largest economy in the world by 2028-30. In 2014, India was ranked 10th in the world in this case, in this regard, a jump of 7 places can be seen. According to the IMF, India is no longer far behind the US, China, Japan and Germany in terms of the size of its economy. According to the IMF, the Indian economy will be the fourth largest economy in the world at par with Germany in 2025-26. In 2026-27, the size of the Indian economy will increase to $4.94 trillion and in the subsequent year 2027-28, the Indian economy will increase to $5.36 trillion from Japan's $5.17 trillion.
