International Women's Day: PM Modi to address seminar tomorrow

New Delhi: On the occasion of International Women's Day, tomorrow, March 8, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi will deliver a video message to a seminar at a women saint's camp in Dhordo, Kutch, on Tuesday.

The seminar is being held to recognise the role of women saints in society and their commitment to women empowerment, according to the Prime Minister's Office (PMO). The conference in Dhordo will draw almost 500 woman saints.

Culture, religion, female empowerment, security, social standing, and the role of women in Indian culture will all be covered during the seminar. The welfare systems of the federal and state governments that support women, and also women's achievements, will be discussed.

Smriti Irani, the Union Minister for Women and Child Development, will attend, as will Union Ministers of State Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti and Bharati Pravin Pawar. Sadhvi Rithambara, Maha Mandleshwar Kankeshwari Devi, and others will be present at the event.

Every year on March 8, International Women's Day is a global celebration of women's achievements in cultural, social, economic, and political spheres.

The theme for this year is "Gender equality now for a sustainable tomorrow," which recognises the contributions of women and girls all over the world to issues like climate change adaptation, mitigation, and response in order to create a more sustainable future for all.
