A day after President Narinder Batra's appeal to resolve differences between conflicting factions of the Indian Olympic Association (IOA), General Secretary Rajiv Mehta urged a resolution to resolve the differences. Because of which they feel that Indian sports are being harmed. Batra had tried to reduce the rights as Mehta's secretary, after which there is a mutual conflict between the two.
Mehta issued a statement saying, 'The internal fight in the IOA is not right and it should be ended for the good of Indian sports. We should resolve matters amicably. We are all trying our best. I am positive that all the officials and members of the Executive Council will work together to resolve the issues. On Sunday, Batra also made a similar appeal.
He had said, "I appeal to all the officials and members of the IOA to stay away from factionalism, and to work for the development of the highest interests of the players and their respective sports."
