The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has strongly condemned racism, saying that it is one of the founding pillars of the Olympic Games and it hinges on non-discrimination, which is reflected in the Charter of the Olympics.

The fundamental principles of the Olympic Charter are written in six, the rights and freedoms set forth in this Olympic Charter shall be protected without discrimination of any kind, such as caste, colour, sex, language, religion, political, national or social origin, property. IOC founder Pierre de Coubertin said, "We will not get peace until the breeds separate." Now, what better way to achieve this goal than by bringing the youth of all countries together from time to time for cordial tests of muscles.

The IOC said in a statement on Wednesday, the IOC Executive Board supports the initiative of the IOC Athletes Commission to allow Olympic athletes to express their support for the principles contained in the Olympic Charter while respecting the spirit of the Olympics at the time of the Olympic Games. This statement of the IOC has come after the protests taking place in many places after the death of black man George Floyd in America. George, 46, died in police custody on May 25.
