Apple has unveiled its new iPhone 16 series, featuring significant updates and enhancements. The new models—iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus—bring several improvements, including the latest A18 chipset, a RAM upgrade, an Action Button, and advanced camera controls, all while starting at the same price as last year's models.

Key Upgrades in the iPhone 16 Series:

A18 Chipset:
The iPhone 16 series debuts with the new A18 chipset, marking a shift from Apple's usual practice of reusing the previous year's Pro model chipsets. This new processor boosts performance, supports high-end gaming, and enhances on-device AI capabilities through Apple Intelligence.

RAM Upgrade:
For the first time, the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus come with 8GB of RAM, matching the Pro models. This increase, up from 6GB last year, helps the new devices handle AI operations more efficiently, as confirmed by the latest version of Apple’s developer tool, Xcode 16.

Action Button:
The new Action Button, previously exclusive to Pro models, is now featured on the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus. This button allows users to quickly access various functions, such as the camera app, flashlight, voice memos, translation, and magnifier with a single press.

Camera Control:
All four iPhone 16 models include a new touch-sensitive "Camera Control" button. This feature enables users to launch the Camera app, take photos and videos, zoom in and out, and adjust settings like exposure and depth of field.

Camera and Design:
The iPhone 16 series introduces a redesigned camera layout with a vertical pill-shaped arrangement, replacing the previous square layout. The new standard models feature a 48MP Fusion camera with 2x optical zoom and a 12MP ultra-wide angle lens, enhancing macro photography capabilities.

The iPhone 16 starts at Rs.79,900, while the iPhone 16 Plus is priced at Rs.89,900, maintaining the same starting price as the previous generation.
