In the 48th match  played at Holkar Stadium in Indore, the entire Punjab team got scorched 88 runs in the first innings. Chasing this small score of 89 runs Virat Kohli and Parthiv Patel started the RCB run chase while Ravichandran Ashwin with the ball for KXIP.

Virat Kohli scored         48 runs in   28 balls including           6 fours and 2 sixes        while Parthiv Patel scored 40  runs in 22 balls with     7        fours .Both batsman remained unbeaten. Kohali led team RCB chased the 89 runs target in 8.1 overs.

 No batsman could play a bigger role .The entire Punjab team, in front of the sharp edges of Bangalore, broke down in 15.1 overs. Umesh Yadav has bagged the maximum 3 wickets from Bangalore. Mohammed Siraj, Moin Ali, Yuswendra Chahal and Colin got 1-1 wickets in the account.

Opener Gayle and Rahul started the innings by Punjab in the Holkar stadium Gayle felt himself very uncomfortable from the start of the innings. He scored four boundaries and could only manage 18 runs. Lokesh Rahul could not do anything special. Lokesh has scored three sixes during this period. Punjab got the first blow as Rahul. Rahul scored 21 runs off Umesh's delivery.
