New Delhi: Double header matches were played in the Indian Premier League (IPL 2021) on Wednesday. The first match was played between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Punjab Kings (PBKS), while the second match was played between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). Hyderabad won the first match, while CSK won the second match. While this was SRH's first win of the season, it was CSK's third consecutive win.
After these double header encounters, the point table of the 14th season of IPL changed somewhat. CSK has since topped the royal challengers Bangalore (RCB). In the first match, Hyderabad bowled brilliantly by Khaleel Ahmed and Abhishek Sharma to bundle out PBKS for 120. Jonny Bairstow's unbeaten 63, the 'Man of the Match', then helped SRH beat Punjab Kings by nine wickets to register their first win in four matches of the season, followed by CSK's unbeaten 95 off Faf Duplessi and 220 for three by Ruturaj Gaikwad's 64. In reply, KKR were bowled out for 202 in 19.1 overs and suffered a 18-run defeat. Deepak Chahar and Lungi Ngidi's bowling fell heavily on pat cummins and Andre Russell's stormy half-centuries. It is followed by virat kohli-captained RCB, who is second with 6 points. Third in the points table is DC with 6 points. The top three teams have equal points, but the net runrate is different.
