New Delhi: Apart from the T20 World Cup, the Indian Premier League has once again made headlines. A total of ten teams will participate in IPL 2022, bidding is going on for two new teams on monday. Two new teams may be announced  shortly.  Dubai has the presence of all BCCI and IPL officials, all the bidding groups and companies are also here. It is believed that two new teams may be selected from Ahmedabad, Lucknow or Indore.

Teams like Ahmedabad, Indore and Lucknow are said to be able to find a place in the IPL this time. Both cities have their own stadiums and the area has a high fan following of IPL. The biggest bid has been made by Manchester United. But nothing has been decided by the BCCI yet. The names of the new teams of the IPL are expected to be announced by late Monday evening or tuesday.

Several names are in the race to buy the two new IPL teams including Sanjeev Goenka of RPSG, Manchester United owner Glazer Family, Naveen Jindal, Adani Group, Kotak Group, CVC Partner, Group-M, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone.
