New Delhi: The market is all set to be decked up once again on February 12 and 13 for the ipl, the biggest league in the world of cricket. There is a possibility of raining money on many players in this market. From young Shreyas Iyer to the experienced Faf du Plessis, Dwayne Bravo, all the players will pull 10 IPL teams towards them. All the teams will go down to the mega auction ground with a large purse amount to bid. A total of Rs 558 crore is to be spent on 590 players, out of which 370 players are Indians and 220 are foreigners.

So far, all the 10 teams have spent Rs 333 crore on their retained players and players included in the draft. A total of 33 players have been added by the franchise through retaining and draft lists. The most expensive player so far is KL Rahul, Lucknow Supergiants have kept him in their team for Rs 17 crore. According to the rules of the auction, the teams have to spend at least Rs 67 crore and the maximum is Rs 90 crore.

This time old records may also be broken in the mega auction. Many teams may spend money heavily on some players according to their requirements. The first day of the mega auction can see tremendous action. The auction will begin with bidding on marquee players. The list includes star players like Shreyas Iyer, Ravichandran Ashwin, Shikhar Dhawan, Mohammed Shami, Trent Boult, Kagiso Rabada, Faf du Plessis, Quinton DeKock, David Warner, and Pat Cummins.
