New Delhi [India], Jan 28: Gowtham Krishnappa was sold to Rajasthan Royals for Rs 6.20 crores.In October 2017, he scored his maiden first-class century, batting for Karnataka against Assam in the 2017–18 Ranji Trophy. Day one of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018 auction in Bengaluru sprung many surprises for the eight franchises taking part in the cash-rich league. Aaron Finch brought by Kings XI Punjab with an amount of Rs 6.20 Crores. Murli Vijay remain unsold and join the likes of Chris Gayle and Joe Root. Young Indian Batsmen Karun Nair was sold to Kings XI Punjab for Rs 5.60 Crores. Sanju Samson bought by double R’s for Rs 8 Crores. Indian batsmen KL Rahul sold for Rs 11 Crores. While Ashwin goes for Rs. 7.60 Crores to King XI Punjab while Kieron Pollard from West Indies RTM by Mumbai Indians for Rs. 5.40 Crores. While Ben Stokes was sold to Rajasthan Royal for Rs 12.5 Crores, Michell Starc sold to KKR for Rs 9.40 Crores. Shakib Al Hasan sold for Rs. 2 Crores for Sunrisers Hyderabad. Wriddhiman Saha was bought by SRH for Rs. 5 Crores. While, Dinesh Karthik was bought by KKR for Rs 7.4 Crores.
