KYV: Rescuers woke up to the sirens of airstrikes for the fourth consecutive morning after Russia's mass-deadly attack across the country on Monday after an Iranian-made kamikaze drone struck Ukraine's capital region on Thursday morning.

The governor of the Kyiv region, Oleksiy Kuleba, said the strike took place around the country's capital. Whether there were any casualties was not yet known.
The deputy head of the presidential office, Kyrylo Tymoshenko, told Telegram that "critical infrastructure" in the region was affected, without specifying.
As fighting broke out overnight on Ukraine's southern front, a five-story apartment building in the southern city of Mykolaiv was completely destroyed.

Mykolaiv Mayor Oleksandr Sienkovi claimed that the top two floors of the structure were completely destroyed in a single attack, leaving the rest of the structure in ruins. It was not immediately clear whether there were any casualties.
As Kyiv's forces launched a counter-offensive intended to retake Russian-occupied territory, early morning attacks on Ukraine's southern front have become routine.
Before Monday's widespread attacks, which killed at least 19 people across the country and injured more than 100, attacks on Kyiv had become increasingly rare.
This week, Western leaders vowed to send more weapons to Ukraine, including air defense systems and other weapons, that Kyiv deems necessary to repel invading Russian forces.

This week, the Ukrainian military reported that its current air defenses have destroyed dozens of Russian missiles and Shaheed-136 drones, the so-called kamikaze drones that have become more and more deadly in the conflict.
