Thiruvananthapuram: Kannur University was abused on Saturday along with Kerala Governor Arif Muhammad Khan. Governor Arif Mohammed himself has informed this by tweeting. The governor said that well-known historian Irfan Habib attempted to dissuade him from speaking at the Indian History Congress (IHC). The governor has termed this 'intolerant' act of Habib against the antagonistic view as undemocratic.

Historian Irfan Habib was fiercely drawn by people on Twitter for indecency with Governor Arif Mohammad Khan. Users also criticized Habib when a picture was put on this behalf on behalf of Governor Arif Mohammad Khan. The tweet from Governor Arif Khan's official Twitter handle was retweeted 2.7 thousand times, while 3.5 thousand likes were received.

Regarding Habib, a user wrote that, "This man, along with his spouses, manipulated history to spread lies and established an assumption based on lies". One user wrote, 'Left-liberal style of tolerance. These are generous as long as you add their yes to yes. A case should be registered against such people and they should be arrested and put in jail.
