Irrfan Khan was one of the most loved actors in Bollywood. He got recognition in the latter half of his career. He had given Brilliant performances in his career but unfortunately, he died very early. Irrfan's birth anniversary is on January 7, he would have been 56. The late actor revealed his cancer diagnosis in March 2018 in an emotional post and then went to the UK for his treatment. He died when he was at the peak of his career. On the occasion of Irrfan Khan’s 56th birth anniversary, Have a look on an interesting story when he saved his friend’s life.

Irrfan Khan’s friend IPS Haider Ali Zaidi after the veteran actor death recalling his memories narrated a wonderful story about the late actor. Zaidi is a childhood friend of the actor, and they went to school and college together in Jaipur. Zaidi said, “He is no more but I feel that he will call me right now or come here to meet me.” He revealed that during school, Irrfan saved his life when he accidentally touched a live electric wire while returning home.

Zaid said ,“He pushed me to save my life,” . The friend went to the same college, but held different degrees. Zaidi revealed that Irrfan often used to travel in local trains on an empty stomach in his struggling days after he moved to Mumbai. He had learnt acting at the National School of Drama.

On the career front, Irrfan Khan had won a National Film Award and was the recipient of the Padma Shri. He has featured in Academy Award winning films Slumdog Millionaire and Life of Pi, Salaam Bombay!, Life in a... Metro, Maqbool, Paan Singh Tomar, Piku, The Lunchbox, Haider and Hindi Medium are some of his most celebrated films.
