New Delhi: A Delhi court has convicted a youth while rejecting the plea of ​​having sex with an 11-year-old girl in love. During the hearing of the case, the court said that children below the age of 12 years are asexual. It takes time for them to understand that someone is expressing love towards them or is trying to erase their carnal pleasures.

According to the case records, on June 27, 2017, a youth sexually assaulted the minor daughter of a neighbor on the terrace of his building in Nangloi. At that time the girl was only 11 years old. While hearing this case, a Delhi court said that, in cases of sexual harassment with minor children, it is generally seen that children are not able to express their point of view in front of others. Actually, the accused had said in the court that he had a love affair with an 11-year-old girl. Due to love affair, he tried to have physical relationship with the girl. After hearing the argument of the accused, the court said that she does not believe that the girl is telling any story to protect herself.

The court said that the victim has not given testimony like a rotten parrot and neither does her statement appear to have taught her anything from her mother. The court said that, after hearing the statement of the victim, it is clear that the convict had given her wrong information about the sexual relationship. The convict had told about the victim's sexual relationship in a very convincing manner. During the trial, the prosecution had alleged that the convict had threatened to kill the victim. Now the court has convicted the accused and sentenced him to death.
