Alia Bhatt was honoured with Star Screen Awards for Udta Punjab and the other for Dear Zindagi as Nayi Soch. But Sonam Kapoor too was deserving for atleast the one award.

Shared by insider that Sonam was deserving one, “Maybe Sonam lost out the award because they were many people in the jury connected to Karan Johar’s who also being the host for the evening Dharma Productions and they voted for KJo’s protégé. Also, the award show is being aired on the channel that has landed the rights to show Alia’s next film. Alia deserved the award for DZ for sure, the second one is debatable.”

Also what Sonam did is commendable, she unlike other actresses who nods only for getting award to present on show, after knowing she is not going to win any award attended the show.
